Tiler in Karmiel: how to choose and what it costs in 2026

Need a tiler (רצף) in Karmiel? KABLAY lists vetted pros who lay ceramics and porcelain cleanly — from bathrooms and kitchen backsplashes to balconies, staircases and 120×60 large-format slabs.

Tiling is one of the most labor-intensive stages of any renovation — especially in Israel with its humid coastal climate, concrete slabs, traditional wet-zone cladding from floor to ceiling, and open balconies exposed to sun and rain. Amateur mistakes mean crooked joints, tiles popping off in a season, or water leaking to the apartment below.

KABLAY helps you find a tiler with a portfolio and reviews in minutes — compare ratings, read real client feedback and agree on a price directly.

The proper tile-laying workflow

  • Surface preparation. Walls must be leveled (plaster/skim) and floors screeded with a self-leveling compound, then primed. Perfect smoothness is not needed — a slight texture improves adhesive grip.
  • Wet-zone waterproofing. In Israel this is mandatory for bathrooms, showers and balconies — two coats of a brush-on membrane under the tiles, or you risk stains on the ceiling of the apartment below within a couple of years.
  • Layout and first row. Proper tiling always starts with layout marking and the first row — it sets the geometry for the whole room. The horizontal and vertical are checked immediately, before the adhesive sets.
  • Cuts and fitting. Almost every room has spots that full tiles cannot cover — a good pro plans the layout so the cut tiles end up in the least visible places (by the wall, in a corner).
  • Grouting. After the adhesive is fully cured, spacers are removed and joints are grouted — any shade available. In wet zones an epoxy grout or silicone sealant is used on perimeter joints.

5 marks of a professional tiler

  • Professionalism. The pro handles every layout type: standard, diagonal, herringbone, metro/subway ("kabanchik"), seamless rectified, large-format 80cm+ and mosaic.
  • Own tools. An electric tile cutter, 45° mitre rig, suction cups for large-format slabs, leveling spacers — this kit identifies a true רצף.
  • Clean, tidy work. Tiling is a messy stage, but the pro uses protective film, covers adjacent surfaces and cleans up after each shift.
  • Ownership. A serious tiler takes a job turnkey — from old-tile demo to grouted joints — and gives a warranty on the result.
  • Portfolio and references. An experienced tiler always has photos of completed projects and client reviews. On KABLAY this is visible right in the profile.

FAQ

Can I order a turnkey bathroom (materials + labor)?

Yes. Many KABLAY pros work as a package: they prepare a materials list, buy the tile and supplies, and do everything from demolition to grouting.

How much is the call-out fee?

If you proceed with the work, the measurement visit is free. A consultation visit without an order — from ₪200.

How long does a medium-size bathroom take?

A typical 4-6 m² bathroom with demolition, waterproofing, wall and floor tiling and grouting usually takes 5-8 working days. The exact timeline is confirmed after the site visit.

Is there a warranty?

Warranty terms for tiling and joints are agreed with the selected tiler before work starts. KABLAY can help document the task and mediate a dispute, but the specialist performs the work and provides the warranty.

Which areas do you cover?

All of Israel — from Gush Dan to the north and south. Tilers are available in every major city and suburb.

Finding a tiler through ads is risky — crooked joints and tiles popping off in a season. Renovation firms charge 2-3× more. KABLAY is the middle ground: vetted pros with portfolios, transparent list prices and the ability to pick by rating in a couple of minutes.
