Boiler connection

Boiler connection is not just two flexible hoses. Correct valves, water direction, pressure relief, old pipe condition and the separation between plumbing and electrical work all matter.

When connection service is needed

  • The boiler is already mounted. Water lines need to be connected and checked.
  • Pipes were replaced during renovation. The boiler needs to be returned to service.
  • There is a new connection point. For example after moving or reworking pipes.
  • The boiler was disconnected for service. After flushing, valve replacement or repair.

What the plumber checks

  • Cold inlet and hot outlet. Reversed lines cause wrong operation and overheating risk.
  • Check valve and safety valve. These protect the system when pressure rises.
  • Shut-off valves. The boiler should be serviceable without shutting the whole apartment where possible.
  • Corrosion and scale marks. An old assembly can start leaking immediately after restart.

What connection includes

  1. Inspecting the boiler and water points.
  2. Connecting cold and hot lines.
  3. Installing or checking valves.
  4. Filling the boiler with water and bleeding air.
  5. Pressure leak check.

Typical cost

  • Connection to ready outlets — 480–900 ₪
  • Replacing a valve or shut-off — parts priced separately
  • Pipe rework or point relocation — quoted after inspection

FAQ

Does boiler connection include electrical work?

This page covers the plumbing connection of water and valves. If a new power line, outlet, breaker or wiring diagnostics are needed, that is electrical work.

Can a boiler be switched on before it is filled with water?

No. The boiler must be filled with water and air must be released before heating is switched on. Otherwise the heating element can be damaged.

Why does the safety valve drip after connection?

A small discharge while heating can be normal, but constant dripping often points to high pressure, a faulty valve or an incorrect setup.
