A steel bath is stronger than acrylic but lighter than cast iron and often noisier when filling. Stable supports, firm fixing and careful wall sealing are key.
What matters during installation
- Stable supports. The bath must not rock under load.
- Noise control. A backing or underside treatment may be added.
- Drain and overflow. Checked before closing the panel.
- Enamel protection. The coating should not be chipped during work.
Typical prices in Israel
- Steel bath installation — 480–950 ₪
- With noise treatment or panel fitting — higher on site
Frequently asked
Is a steel bath always noisy?
It is usually more resonant than acrylic or cast iron. Proper fixing and underside treatment reduce part of the noise.
