A shower tray must be rigid, level and correctly connected to the drain. If it flexes, sinks or is badly sealed, the cabin will almost certainly leak.
What is checked first
- Tray size and height. It must match the cabin and floor level.
- The base. Stable support without voids or movement is required.
- The drain. The trap must fit and remain serviceable.
- Wall joints. This is where most leak risk begins.
What installation includes
- Preparing the base.
- Leveling and setting supports.
- Connecting the trap and drain line.
- Fixing the tray.
- Sealing and water testing.
Typical prices in Israel
- Shower tray installation — 520–1,100 ₪
- With drain rework — higher on site
- With base preparation — depends on floor condition
Frequently asked

Yes, if the base is level, solid and allows a proper drain connection.
Why does a tray creak or flex?
