A shower cabin rarely fails all at once. Usually one part gives trouble: rollers jam, a door will not close, seals let water out, silicone pulls away or the drain starts smelling or leaking.
What is usually repaired
- Doors and rollers. Noise, misalignment, jumping out of the track or stiff movement.
- Seals and magnets. Water escapes and the door does not close tightly.
- Hinges and glass fixings. Especially on old or heavy doors.
- Sealing and drainage. Silicone, tray joint, trap and drain.
When repair is not worth it
- Glass or profiles are damaged. Parts may cost almost as much as a new cabin.
- The tray leaks or has sunk. The base needs repair, not just the doors.
- The cabin is old and unsupported. Rollers and seals can be hard to source.
Typical prices in Israel
- Shower cabin repair — 520–1,200 ₪
- Roller or seal replacement — depends on model and part availability
- Resealing — priced by joint length and base condition
Frequently asked
Can only the rollers be replaced?
Yes, if the tracks and glass are sound and matching rollers are available.
Why did the shower door become misaligned again?
The cause may be a sagging tray, bent profile or worn track rather than the adjustment itself.
