Removing a shower cabin needs care: glass is heavy, profiles are often fixed through tile, old silicone grips hard and the tray may hide an old drain or leak.
What removal includes
- Removing doors and glass. Without stressing the tile.
- Dismantling profiles and tracks.
- Cutting out old silicone.
- Disconnecting or inspecting the drain.
- Preparing the area for a new cabin or repair.
Risks
- Chipped tile. Especially near old fixing points.
- Broken glass. It should not be handled alone without experience.
- Hidden mould or leaks. Often visible only after tray removal.
Typical prices in Israel
- Shower cabin removal — 460–950 ₪
- With disposal — may cost more
- If the tray is removed too — scope is priced separately
Frequently asked
Can the old cabin be kept after removal?
Sometimes, but old silicone, fixings and fragile rollers often do not survive removal intact.
Is disposal included?
Not always. Removal of glass and profiles should be agreed before work starts.
