When the drainage point sits below the main sewer line, gravity will not do the job — you need a sewage (grinder or effluent) pump. In Israel this is a daily reality: a bathroom in the mamad basement, a laundry in a below-grade room, a shower in a garden guesthouse (יחידת דיור).
