A hydrobox is more complex than a standard shower cabin. In addition to glass and drainage, it can include jets, a mixer, hoses, lighting, radio, steam generator or pump. Pressure, drainage and electrical safety must be checked before installation.
What is checked before installation
- Water pressure. Hydromassage performs poorly with low pressure.
- Drainage. The drain must handle the flow and remain accessible.
- Power supply. Electronics require a safe protected line.
- Service space. The unit should not be squeezed in with no access to hoses.
What installation includes
- Assembling the body, glass and panel.
- Connecting water and drain.
- Testing jets, mixer and hoses.
- Sealing joints.
- Test run.
Typical prices in Israel
- Hydrobox installation — 940–1,900 ₪
- With electrical features or steam — an electrician may be needed
- With water or drain rework — priced separately
Frequently asked
Can a hydrobox be connected like a regular cabin?
Not always. Jets and electronics raise the requirements for pressure, access and safety.
Is an electrician needed?
If the model includes lighting, steam, radio, a pump or other electronics, the electrical side should be checked separately.
