Curved ceiling elements require precise layout, templates and careful board cutting. A radius mistake becomes obvious after painting and lighting.
When to order this work
They are used for soft zoning in living rooms, wave transitions in halls, an oval above a dining table or decorative indirect lighting.
What to include in the request
- Radii and dimensions — provide a drawing or photo reference if possible.
- Line type — circle, oval, wave or curved perimeter box.
- Lighting — where LED will sit and how it washes the curve.
- Finish — curved areas need especially careful taping and sanding.
Typical cost in Israel
Expect from 295 ₪/m² for a ceiling with rounded elements. It costs more than a flat ceiling because layout, profile bending and radius finishing take time.
What to watch for
Ask for examples of curved ceiling work specifically. Being good at flat partitions does not automatically mean strong radius work.
Frequently asked
Can any radius be made?
Almost, but very tight radii are harder to board and finish. Agree the radius with the pro in advance.
Is special drywall needed?
Tight curves may use flexible board or scoring; larger radii often work with standard board and proper preparation.
Why is it more expensive?
More manual work: templates, cutting, profile bending, curved beads and final finish.
