A cast iron bath is heavy and awkward to remove. The key is not only disconnecting the waste but carrying the tub out safely without injury or unnecessary damage.
What matters during removal
- Weight. Helpers and a clear route are required.
- Trap access. The waste is disconnected before moving the bath.
- Finish protection. Tile, door frames and corners are at risk during removal.
- Freeing wall joints. Sealant, trim, panel or facing should be removed first.
Typical prices in Israel
- Cast iron bath removal — 320–1,100 ₪
- With difficult access — cost may be higher
