A cast iron bath is heavy, stable and durable, but the weight makes installation harder. The tub must be moved safely, the finishes protected, the bath leveled and the waste connected correctly.
What matters during installation
- Handling and access. People, route and finish protection are required.
- Supports. The bath must stand firmly without twist.
- Drain and overflow. Connected before the panel is closed.
- Wall joints. Even a heavy bath still needs proper sealing.
Typical prices in Israel
- Cast iron bath installation — 560–1,300 ₪
- If access is difficult or there is no lift — cost may be higher
Frequently asked
Is cast iron always the best option?
It is very stable and retains heat well, but it is heavier and more difficult to install. The right choice depends on the site and budget.
