A bath screen hides the underside and improves the look of the bathroom, but it should never block access to the trap. A good screen looks clean and still allows service.
What matters during installation
- Service access. The trap and overflow should remain accessible.
- Accurate fit. The screen should not leave awkward gaps.
- Material choice. Plastic, moisture-resistant panel, tiled facing or a ready front.
- Moisture resistance. Cheap unsuitable materials fail quickly here.
Typical prices in Israel
- Bath screen installation — 720–1,500 ₪
- With custom fitting or an access hatch — higher on site
Frequently asked
Can the bath be closed completely without an access hatch?
It is not recommended. Without access, any drain problem turns into extra demolition.
