Aluminium radiators are valued for low weight, quick warm-up and flexible section sizing. They fit autonomous heating systems in houses and villas when water quality and pressure are under control.
When aluminium is a good choice
- Autonomous system. Boiler or heat pump with known pressure and heat-carrier conditions.
- Flexible sizing is needed. Sections are easy to size to the window width and target output.
- Fast response matters. Aluminium heats up and reacts to control changes quickly.
What installation includes
- Marking and brackets. With proper clearances from floor, sill and wall.
- Section assembly. If the unit is not supplied in final configuration.
- Valves and air vent. Essential for service and balancing.
- Connection to tails. With the right adapters and seals for the pipe material.
- Filling and bleeding. Functional check after startup.
Common mistakes
- Wrong section calculation. The radiator looks fine but underheats the room.
- Poor metal compatibility. Correct transition fittings and valves matter.
- No pressure test. Joints start leaking after startup.
Typical prices in Israel
- Installing one aluminium radiator — 580–900 ₪
- With new valves and an air vent — 750–1,100 ₪
- With altered pipe tails — from 1,000 ₪
Frequently asked
Does an aluminium radiator fit every home?
It works best in autonomous systems with moderate pressure and controlled water quality. For tougher conditions, bimetal is often safer.
Can extra sections be added later?
Yes, if the model is sectional and there is access. But it is better to size the output correctly from the start so brackets and pipework do not need rework.
Do I need separate shut-off valves on the radiator?
Yes. They allow service or replacement without stopping the whole system when the layout permits it.
